Cameroon Approves Creation of Vice President Position: Report
The parliament has adopted a constitutional amendment to introduce the position of a vice president during the meeting in a joint session of both chambers, according to a local media outlet.
The 222 deputies and senators present voted overwhelmingly in favor of the amendment, with:
🟩 200 votes for;
🟥 18 against;
🟨 4 abstentions.
The bill has been sent to President Paul Biya for signature.
