'New Chapter in Science Ecosystem in Ethiopia & Africa': PM Abiy Launches State-of-the-Art Research Center
Built within the complex of the Armauer Hansen Research Institute, the new facility is a high-level knowledge institution, which is to ensure a self-reliant and healthy Ethiopia, the PM said.
What does the facility feature?
◾40 modern laboratories for various health research needs;
◾advanced genomics and bioinformatics technologies;
◾bioequivalence center for ensuring the quality and efficacy of medicines produced in the country.
The center must transform its research outcomes into practical policies and solutions to meet the country’s medicine demand through domestic production, Prime Minister Abiy emphasized.
