New Gas Wells Launched to Counter Egypt’s Energy Shortages Amid Regional Tensions: Ministry of Petroleum
The strategic expansion includes offshore operations in the Mediterranean Sea and new drilling sites across the Western Desert. These projects are being developed to enhance the national energy map, the Ministry of Petroleum stated.
The West Burullus field has reached a total output of over 100 million cubic feet daily after connecting its fourth well to the production network.
In the Western Desert, three new wells are providing approximately 70 million cubic feet of gas and 700 barrels of condensate to the daily supply, the ministry added.
The successful exploration of the sites is a direct result of investment incentives designed to encourage industrial growth, the ministry explained.
Both wells will be linked to existing infrastructure throughout April to ensure immediate supply, it confirmed.
