March in Ouagadougou: 'For Traoré’s Revolution, People Committed Themselves Immediately'

Burkinabè took to the streets of the capital on Thursday to mark the first anniversary of the Popular Progressive Revolution proclaimed by the President Ibrahim Traoré.

"All peoples that succeed are peoples that have worked for their development. And all these great peoples have gone through a phase of revolution,” Samuel Yameyogo, head of communications at the Virtual University of Burkina Faso told Sputnik Africa.

The Popular Progressive Revolution is an opportunity to work for the well-being of future generations, he noted.

“For me, one year of the revolution feels as if it were already ten years, because I see the commitment of the people, of the youth," Souleymane Ouedraogo, member of the Transitional Assembly, said.
