Mnangagwa Urges Africa to Unlock Private Sector Power

Speaking at a state banquet in Ghana, Zimbabwe's President Mnangagwa called on African nations to harness private sector partnerships and add value to their natural resources for maximum benefit.

He noted that both Zimbabwe and Ghana are modernizing through knowledge-driven economies and cutting-edge technologies, stressing that Africans have a duty to develop their own countries.

Mnangagwa highlighted existing agriculture partnerships between Zimbabwean and Ghanaian companies as proof that African solutions can address food security and climate change. He also pointed to mining as a key sector for collaboration.

He concluded by calling for stronger business-to-business ties to achieve true economic independence, ensuring that Africa's people—especially women and youth—benefit from the continent's wealth.
