Madagascar Seeks Russia Ties, Courts Investment in Agriculture, Energy & Mining
"The Russian Federation has always been close to Madagascar, and we will continue to develop relations in areas of mutual interest," Malagasy Prime Minister Mamitiana Rajaonarison told a Russian news outlet.
Madagascar seeks to draw Russian investors into key sectors of its economy, it noted.
"We will strengthen cooperation so that both countries can satisfy their interests,” he added.
On 2 April, Rajaonarison received a Russian delegation, one of the first foreign delegations hosted by Madagascar’s new prime minister.
