Ethiopia, Rosatom Discuss Nuclear Power Plant Project, Sign Strategic Roadmap, Says Ethiopian MFA Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gideon Timotheos met with a Russian delegation led by Nikolay Spassky, Deputy Director General of Rosatom, to discuss nuclear energy cooperation, the ministry announced. The talks, also attended by Sandokan Debebe, head of the Ethiopian Atomic Energy Commission, focused on implementing an action plan for developing a nuclear power plant in Ethiopia, signed between the parties in September 2025. The sides also reviewed a new strategic roadmap for nuclear energy development, signed on March 31 by the Ethiopian Atomic Energy Commission and Rosatom.
