How AfCFTA & Africa Energy Bank Boost Africa’s Energy Sector? Expert Explains
The AfCFTA promotes a "higher volume of intra-African oil products," while the Africa Energy Bank gives the continent a great opportunity "to finance its own resources and retain more value at home," Danilo Desiderio, told Sputnik Africa.
"The creation of the African Energy Bank is an historic turning point, [it] puts African priorities at the center, allowing the continent to chart its own energy future," he noted.
While the AfCFTA encourages the parties "to remove non-tariff barriers and to adopt simplified, transparent and predictable custom procedures," the "full benefit of Inter-African trade depends on infrastructure" development, the expert added.
