Namibian Local Industry Open to Brazilian Investments: Foreign Minister
“We encourage Brazilian companies to consider establishing manufacturing and processing plants in Namibia to add value to these resources locally," said Minister of International Relations and Trade Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, addressing her Brazilian partners.
The minister added that such investments may
▪spur industrial growth,
▪create jobs,
▪facilitate skill sharing,
▪drive Namibia’s overall economic upliftment
Moreover, Brazilian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mauro Vieira underscored his country's serious interest in Namibia’s oil and gas sector, citing its strategic position in the African energy market. He also urged facilitation of poultry and pork exports to the African country.
ℹ Historically, the partnership between the two countries has been based on agriculture and naval cooperation.
