Three New EV Charging Stations Open in Addis Ababa, Dozens More Planned Nationwide: Authority
The three modern facilities, built by Ethiopian Electric Power, are part of a broader plan to build 40 stations across the country, the state-owned electric producer announced.
The first phase includes 32 stations in Addis Ababa and eight in other cities, with expansion planned for Bishoftu, Mojo, Batu, Adama, Shashemene, and Hawassa, as well as along the Ethio-Djibouti trade corridor.
The stations will operate 24/7 with time-of-use pricing to encourage charging during off-peak hours.
