Uganda's Aviation Authority Leads Africa's Shift to Homegrown Electric Buses

The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority acquired electric buses from Uganda-based Kiira Motors Corporation, making it the first institution on the continent to operate locally manufactured electric vehicles.

The company presented its first vehicle in 2025. Since then, its E-coaches have already proved their reliability.
