Russia Welcomes Adoption of UN Resolution Condemning Colonial Slave Trade
"Western countries and their accomplices who refused to support this document have shown hypocrisy, contempt for the suffering and trials endured by African peoples, and an unwillingness to assume responsibility for crimes committed during the colonial period," the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized.
Russia remains ready for coordinated international efforts to eradicate all manifestations of colonialism, "which is taking on new, sophisticated forms," the ministry noted.
🟠 Moscow is committed to close cooperation with African partners on this issue, including within the framework of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, it concluded.
