Ghana's Resolution—'Next Frontier of Struggle for Justice,' Says US Associate Professor

Slavery was "an engineered architecture of extraction," economist Fadhel Kaboub wrote in his article.

According to him, it economically restructured the world by:

🟠Forced migration of millions of Africans;

🟠Conversion of humans into mobile property, expanding credit and accumulation in slave societies;

🟠Organization of global industrialization around plantation commodities—especially cotton—most of which was produced by enslaved labor;

🟠Long-term damage to Africa’s development trajectory.
