Thousands of Luxury Cars Stranded in Lamu Amid War in Iran

More than 4,000 luxury vehicles—including Porsches and Volkswagens from Japan—were rerouted from their original destination in Dubai to Kenya as a temporary solution after disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Port officials confirm the cars have been offloaded and will remain in the port until conditions stabilize. An additional 5,000 vehicles are expected in the coming days.

While Kenyan authorities say the port is prepared to handle the growing volume, the fate of the stranded luxury cars remains uncertain.
