Joint China-Tanzania Medical Camp Delivers Healthcare to Rukwa Region
A free medical clinic, launched at Mazwi Health Centre on March 17, has provided help to over 600 residents, local media reported.
Run by Chinese and Tanzanian medical experts, the clinic also offers minor surgery, nutritional counseling, and health education on disease prevention and hygiene.
The facility is offering treatment for:
diabetes;
hypertension;
bone diseases;
respiratory issues;
stomach ulcers;
dental problems.
Regional Commissioner Charles Makongoro Nyerere called the clinic a significant step for healthcare in Rukwa, noting it supports President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s efforts to expand access to care.
