Kenyan Police to Restore Order in Several Counties: Statement
The National Police Service has launched a multi-agency security operation across northern parts of Kenya to combat banditry, recover illegal firearms, and address rising cattle rustling, according to an official press release.
The operation targets suspected hotspots and is backed by a substantial security contingent with aerial surveillance and air support.
Clashes between rival pastoralist groups remain common in northern Kenya, where herders often carry guns to protect livestock, though the intensity of recent violence has been exceptional.
