Women Can Play Pivotal Role in African Mining Industry: SA NPO President
Women should always be part of male-dominated sectors to sustain African economies' growth, President of Women in Mining South Africa (WiMSA) Mogaleadi Seabela told Sputnik Africa at the INpowered Big Break event in Johannesburg.
Seabela emphasized that women play a key role in innovations and should be included in decision-making on critical minerals, value extraction, and reinvestment in Africa's development.
WiMSA advocates for women empowerment in the mining industry through mentorship, networking and encouraging young people to build a career in the sector, she noted.
