Russia's extensive experience in constructing and financing nuclear power plants could help Kenya diversify its energy mix and support long-term industrialization, Jaware JM, CEO of Tripple the Impact Centre of Governance & Public Engagement, said.
However, the growing partnership must be managed carefully due to the complex geopolitical environment, Jaware cautioned in an interview with Sputnik Africa's correspondent Ridah Chebet following talks between Russian FM Sergey Lavrov and his Kenyan counterpart Musalia Mudavadi.
"The Kenya–Russia partnership could open new opportunities for investment, technology transfer, and agricultural development, while positioning Kenya as an active player in a rapidly evolving global economic landscape," the expert emphasized.
