"I think people want to have an opportunity to have a different viewpoint. And Sputnik's strength will be in it capturing audiences that are moving away from what would be traditional news lines and to start getting views that are different," Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya, told Sputnik Africa.
The official also expressed his happiness over the results of his talks with Russian FM Lavrov regarding Kenyans' participation in Russia's special military operation in Ukraine.
"Our relationship with Russia is bigger, and therefore we would not want this particular issue to be the one that defines our partnership," Mudavadi, who is also Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, noted.
Earlier, Russia's top diplomat Sergey Lavrov said that Kenyan citizens are participating in the military operation on a voluntary basis and in accordance with Russian legislation.
