"We could do a lot if we started having infrastructure that would interlink African countries, whether it is infrastructure like roads, rails, fiber optics, and so forth," Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya, told Sputnik Africa.
He also called for the development of a "payment system that will allow a trader in the north of Africa to trade with a trader in the south."
"We must leapfrog using technology and be able to allow faster integration. And this is what will help Africa. So this is a path that we must take," Mudavadi, who is also Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, noted.
