Black Rhino Declared Extinct in Ethiopia: Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority
While many wild animals have been saved from extinction in the past 60 years, there are species that have become completely extinct, like many insect species, the authority announced.
However, due to increased public awareness and government attention, there is now encouraging progress in solving the remaining problems in the future, said Ato Kumara, the Director General of the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority.
