SA Strengthens Tech Cooperation With BRICS and Global South to Grow Digital Economy: Digital Technologies Official
Partnerships with countries across the Global South are becoming a key part of South Africa’s strategy to expand the continent’s digital economy, Jeanette Morwane told Sputnik Africa.
She said South African innovators recently took part in a global AI summit in India, where some of them secured new agreements and international business opportunities.
Morwane noted that cooperation with partners from the Global South also extends to digital economy priorities discussed within the G20 framework, where countries coordinate policies and share experiences on emerging technologies.
“We continuously work with our Global South partners. For example, we work very closely with Brazil and India under the BRICS platform.”
