Kenya to Use Body Cameras to Curb Tax Evasion

Kenya's Revenue Authority is introducing body cameras at customs and border points to improve transparency, ensure fair interactions, and prevent tax evasion.

The initiative follows a review revealing 392,000 tax filers who submitted nil returns despite having traceable income. Taxpayers were directed to use the iTax platform to correct their filings and settle any outstanding taxes.

This move aims to enhance border efficiency, foster investment, and uphold consistent law enforcement.
