South Africa Assures Uninterrupted Fuel Supply Amid Iran-Israel War: Government
Stability and security of fuel logistics has been ensured and currently there is no immediate risk oil supply in South Africa, the Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources noted in a statement.
South Africa currently has two operational crude oil refineries, NATREF and Astron Energy, and coal-to-liquids plant Sasol Secunda. These facilities rely on crude oil imports sourced primarily from West Africa and increasingly from other countries across the African continent, the department pointed out.
South Africa is actively exploring alternative supply sources to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability in the domestic market, the statement stressed.
