African Countries Can Use Mineral Revenues to Cushion Energy Price Shocks: SA Researcher

African countries could better protect their economies from global energy price shocks by using revenues from key exports such as oil, gold and critical minerals to support domestic markets, Tafadzwa Ruzive told Sputnik Africa.

He noted that many African economies benefit from strong global demand for natural resources, and part of those revenues could be redirected to help cushion consumers during periods of high energy prices.
