Sanctions on Russian Hydrocarbons & Middle East Conflict is 'Catastrophic' Cocktail for Europe: French Geopolitician
European economies have become exposed to new dependencies, particularly on Qatari gas, after cutting themselves off from their Russian partner, Xavier Moreau, founder of the geostrategic analysis center Stratpol, told Sputnik Africa.
"Russia has redirected its oil trade towards other countries, such as China, Pakistan, and India. These clients are a priority, and failing to honor these contracts at a time when the situation is difficult would be a bad business move”
According to Moreau, Putin "is in no hurry to deliver oil to clients as unreliable as the Europeans.”
