Brazil & South Africa to Boost Joint Arms Production: Brazil's President
Lula da Silva wishes to create joint ventures for arms production, as he declared after talks with his counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa in Brasilia.
"If we are not sufficiently prepared in terms of defense, one day someone could invade our territory. We must pool our capabilities and study the possibilities of joint production. It is no longer necessary to continue buying weapons from other countries: we can produce them ourselves," the Brazilian president noted.
South Africa could become an "important market for the defense industry," he added
