We Are Probably in Early Days of World War III, US Economist Jeffrey Sachs Says

As early as April 2025, Sachs pointed to a secret 2001 Pentagon list outlining "seven wars in five years" — identifying Washington and Tel Aviv as bearing responsibility for conflicts in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Sudan and Somalia.

The only war on that list that had not yet taken place at the time, he noted, was the war against Iran. Today, he says, his predictions have come true.

"Part of the US strategy seems to be to try to corner and control the energy markets," Sachs stressed, adding that for now this effort is only disrupting energy supplies by the hour.

Active conflicts are now unfolding simultaneously in Ukraine and the Middle East, alongside rising tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the economist noted.
