Niger Armed Forces Neutralise 265 Militants and Arrest 132 Suspects in February: Report
The arrested included criminals and suspects accused of collaborating with armed groups, according to the military's monthly bulletin.
Air and ground operations resulted in significant arms and equipment seizures:
🟠 47 vehicles;
🟠 152 motorcycles;
🟠 79 weapons;
🟠 more than 50,000 rounds of ammunition;
🟠 42 portable radios.
The armed forces also dismantled smuggling networks, seizing over 354,000 litres of illegal fuel and a large quantity of prohibited goods with a combined value of more than 1.45 billion CFA francs (around $2.4 million).
