US military bases in the Middle East are constantly coming under attack and offer no effective protection to the countries hosting them, Umur Tugay Yücel told Sputnik.
🟠 Reports indicate that THAAD and Patriot air defense systems are being withdrawn from South Korea, with similar developments potentially imminent in Japan and other US allies in the Asia-Pacific, he added.
"American bases cause more harm than good to the civilian populations and infrastructure of their host countries," Yücel emphasized, adding that they pose a serious threat to nearby communities.
The US system keeps inventing new slogans: "Make America Great," "Make Venezuela Great," and "Make Iran Great"—with no guarantee that this pursuit of greatness will not extend to Cuba, Greenland, or Canada, he noted.
"We are at a stage where American supremacy, moral principles, and soft power influence have completely dissolved, and brute force is producing total uncertainty," the speaker said.
