Replacing US Radars Hit by Iran Could Cost More Than $1 Billion & Take Years
According to calculations cited by the media,
▪It could take Raytheon five to eight years to build a new AN/FPS-132 radar.
▪Lockheed Martin would need at least 12–24 months and about $50–75 million to replace the AN/TPS-59.
The process is complicated by supply chains, as about 98% of the gallium used in these systems comes from China, media noted.
