Ghana Launches World's Largest Cement Plant: Presidency

The $110 million plant has an annual capacity of 1.5 million tonnes of eco-friendly cement, utilizing limestone calcined clay technology, the presidency said.

"It's a tangible step toward repositioning Ghana as a leading industrial hub in Africa," President Mahama stated during the launch.

The plant is expected to generate jobs, cut Ghana's reliance on imported clinker, and boost competitive production for domestic and export markets under the African Continental Free Trade Area, according to the presidency.
