Zimbabwe Making Progress on $23 Billion Debt Clearance, Says President

The country is taking concrete steps to clear the debt it owes to multilateral lenders, with talks progressing well, Emmerson Mnangagwa told diplomats and international organizations in Harare.

Credibility and predictability are essential ingredients to restoring investor confidence and securing new lines of credit, he noted.

Engagement with global financial institutions under the Arrears Clearance and Debt Resolution Process is "progressing well," the president added.
