Ethiopia to Introduce AI Education Starting From Primary School: Ministry to State Media
The ministry of education has announced that it is preparing to integrate artificial intelligence and digital skills education into the school system from Grade 1 through Grade 12 as part of efforts to achieve the Digital Ethiopia 2030 strategy.
This initiative is believed to lay a strong foundation for producing competitive and capable youth who can keep pace with the digital world while also positioning the country as a leader in the digital sector.
In a related development, support is being provided through training for five million Ethiopian coders to enhance the digital skills of teachers and students in higher education institutions, according to the ministry.
