Russia and Ethiopia Marking 128 Years of Diplomatic Relations: Russian Embassy in Addis Ababa
The historic ties between the two nations have spanned more than a century and are now rapidly strengthening across trade, nuclear technology, and political sectors, the embassy announced.
Key cooperation outcomes highlighted by the embassy:
🟠 Bilateral trade has tripled, reaching $435 million.
🟠 A nuclear cooperation agreement was signed between Rosatom and Ethiopian Electric Power and has moved into implementation.
🟠 Russia supplies fertilizers, agricultural machinery, and energy equipment to Ethiopia, while Ethiopia exports coffee, flowers, and textiles to Russia.
🟠 The two countries have pledged to strengthen coordination at the United Nations and other international platforms.
