Russia Delivers 60 Tonnes of Food Aid to Madagascar for Populations Affected by Cyclone Gezani: Embassy
Two planes from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations landed this Monday in Antananarivo, the Russian Embassy in Madagascar reported.
The cargo includes:
30 tonnes of rice;
🫘 16 tonnes of beans;
13 tonnes of sunflower oil.
"This assistance aims to support affected families and contribute to ongoing humanitarian response efforts," stated the embassy.
Last week, Russia delivered equipment, including an MI-8 helicopter and trucks, to Madagascar to transport humanitarian aid and support relief efforts in regions battered by cyclones Fytia and Gezani. (in the video ).
