Ghana Adds New Steel Production Capacity With State-of-Art Plant Commissioning
A steel production plant by B5PLUS Company Limited in the Ningo-Prampram Municipality is a major milestone in Ghana's industrialization and value addition agenda, the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness & Industry said.
"This plant stands as a testament to what can be achieved when public policy, private investment, and innovation converge for national development," President John Dramani Mahama noted at the commissioning ceremony.
According to the president, the new plant will:
🟠create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in the manufacturing sector;
🟠support local entrepreneurship;
🟠uphold small business growth;
🟠strengthen linkages in construction, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
"We are proud to contribute to Ghana's industrialization journey and support the country in becoming self-sufficient in steel production," B5PLUS CEO Mukesh Thakwani said.
