Iran & US Hold Constructive Talks in Geneva, Agree on 'Strategic Route' for Nuclear Deal: Iranian FM

Following the latest round of negotiations in Geneva, Abbas Araghchi described the talks as productive, noting they went beyond previous rounds.

"Compared to the last [round], we brought up absolutely serious issues for discussion, the atmosphere was more productive," Araghchi said. "Finally, we found a strategic route that we will follow, along which we will move and reach a text of a possible agreement."

Key takeaways:

🟠Both sides noted progress and worked out basic principles for further negotiations.

🟠They will now work on drafting a potential agreement and determine the date for the next round.

🟠Developing principles does not guarantee a final deal will be reached.
