Russia Develops New Piston Engine for Light Civil Aviation, Rostec Announces
The power unit aims to replace imported engines on the Russian aviation market, the corporation announced, describing the engine as having competitive technical characteristics suited for the growing light aviation sector.
Key specifications of the M105 engine:
🟠Power: 115 horsepower
🟠Displacement: 1211 cm³
🟠Weight: 75 kg
A modified version, the M105V, is designed for small helicopters and autogyros, according to developers.
It can also be used to drive electric generators, power push- or pull-type propellers, and transmit thrust in aircraft systems.
