“First and foremost, we should understand the fact that the US is in a desperate situation now. And desperate situations or desperate moments call for desperate responses and solutions. So, what the US is doing in Nigeria is like somebody whose defenses are low and is desperately looking for what is around to make sure that he raises his defenses and assumes the posture of what he wants people to believe he is. There's nothing strategic about US involvement in Nigeria today. It is purely a survival game. And it's not only Nigeria; [it's] all over the world.”
