Anyone who incites violence against Sudan and its armed forces will be pursued and held accountable, the commander of the Sudanese army, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, told a crowd in the village of Tayba Sheikh Abdul Baqi in Al Jazeera State.

The Sudanese Armed Forces are moving toward victory with the support and solidarity of the Sudanese people, he added.

The Sudanese government "welcomes anyone who lays down arms and aligns with the path of peace and stability," the Chair of Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council stressed.
