Zimbabwe Mineral Sales Beat Targets with 4,890 Mln Tonnes at $3.4 Bln in 2025, Official Says
Strong export performance stemmed from better market conditions, greater operational efficiency, and gains from strategic system upgrades, Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ) general manager Nomusa Jane Moyo stated.
“MMCZ projects a $3.5 billion revenue target for 2026, underpinned by a positive outlook for platinum group metals, driven by supply constraints and growing demand from hydrogen energy, jewelry and industrial applications,” she added.
Mining remains Zimbabwe's top foreign currency earner, key employer, and driver of economic and industrial growth, accounting for 60-80% of total export earnings, according to state media.
