SputnikPro Project Held in Nigeria Sputnik news agency and radio broadcaster held a SputnikPro module for students and post-graduates of the Mass Communications Department at Kaduna State University (KASU) in Nigeria. During the webinar, Sputnik's senior social media editor Denis Lukyanov spoke to over 60 attendees about the features of using artificial intelligence in creating multimedia content, and also answered questions about modern AI tools. In his welcome remarks the Vice Chancellor of Kaduna State University, Prof. Abdullahi Musa Ibrahim, represented by the Director of the Centre for Digital Divide and Social Informatics, Professor Ayodele Joseph, commended the organizers for the initiative, noting that while AI is increasingly being misused, there is a growing need to equip students with the right skills to apply the technology responsibly and professionally stressing that the university looks forward to deeper and sustained collaboration with SputnikPro on similar capacity-building programs. University representatives expressed interest in continuing cooperation, including through practical workshops on AI topics and other areas of journalistic specialties. Founded in 2004, it includes 16 faculties and over 50 departments, offering bachelor's and master's programs in humanities, law, arts, natural and social sciences, medicine, and engineering. SputnikPro is an international educational media project initiated by the international agency Sputnik. It consists of a unique system of seminars, lectures, and master classes for journalists, press officers, bloggers, and senior university students, conducted by top Russian and foreign media managers, experts, and leading agency specialists.
