Russia Returns to Africa, Russian-Ethiopian Community President Says
Moscow has responded to the aggressive actions targeting the continent's sovereign and multipolar system by reopening its embassies, Professor Kinfu Tafesse Zenebe told Sputnik Africa.
"Russia's place is right there, and it has now joyfully returned. Russia has returned to Africa. It is on track, and its voice is heard," he said.
Professor Zenebe referenced Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's report on the results of 2025 diplomacy, noting Russia's decision to reopen 49 embassies in countries where it had them by law as evidence of strengthening ties with Africa.
"Expanding embassies is one foreign policy priority. It means having an embassy in every African country," the speaker added.
The government is making great efforts with high budgets to establish Russian cultural centers and language teaching programs in every African country, he noted.
