'France is Still Behind Terrorist Acts Happening in Our Countries': Malian Analyst
"Indeed, Emmanuel Macron wants to take revenge against the AES member countries following their decision not to submit to the will of the West," Abdoulaye Diallo told Sputnik Africa.
France "forgets that the times of barbarism are over," according to the communications officer of the Collectif Pour La Refondation du Mali.
"Before, in complicity with the elites who plunged Africa into despair, France allowed itself to plunder and steal resources. And today, it is quite the opposite," he insisted.
The analyst emphasized that the current elites of the AES countries are "supported by their populations" and "share information with Russia" on the Sahelian zone, which is "a central arena of confrontation on the geopolitical and resources level."
The interests pursued by France in Africa remain the same: controlling the continent's mineral and mining resources, pointed out Diallo.
"As long as France does not get what it wants, it will always try to implement selfish methods, terrorist methods to eliminate heads of state who are obstacles to their interests."
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service has earlier stated that Paris is preparing coups d'état and supporting terrorists, particularly in the Sahel.
