Mali Strengthens Digital Sovereignty With Inauguration of State-of-the-Art Data Center: Ministry
Malians’ data will now be hosted in Mali, by Malian engineers, under Malian laws.
The official inauguration ceremony took place in Bamako, chaired by the Malian communication minister, in the presence of his counterparts from Burkina Faso and Niger, the Burkinabe Digital Transition Ministry announced.
This landmark achievement marks a decisive step in preserving and securing national data, guaranteeing digital sovereignty and technological autonomy, said Mali’s Minister of Communication.
For Burkina Faso’s Minister for Digital Transition, this infrastructure is a concrete demonstration of AES member states’ shared commitment to strengthening their digital capabilities.
