Sudan's Al-Burhan Inspects Strategic 5th Army Brigade in Khartoum, Praises High Combat Readiness: Presidency
The Chair of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) visited the headquarters of the brigade to assess the progress of military operations on the ground and evaluate the combat readiness of forces stationed on the front lines, the TSC announced.
During the visit, the Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Abdel Fattah al-Burhan
🟠 reviewed field situation reports and future operational plans, emphasizing the necessity of maintaining the highest levels of military discipline and vigilance;
🟠 praised the significant sacrifices made by the personnel of the 5th Brigade in defense of the homeland, affirming that the soldiers' bravery is the fundamental guarantee for the country's stability.
An atmosphere of enthusiasm and patriotic chants prevailed among the soldiers. Military sources confirmed that morale is at its peak, with all preparations completed to carry out upcoming combat missions.
Strategic Role of the 5th Brigade
It is stationed at strategic locations in the Khartoum region, which the army regained control of in May 2025, and it plays a pivotal role in ongoing military operations to clear the capital of remnants of the rebel RSF militia.
ℹ This visit follows a series of field victories by SAF, most notably the breaking of the siege on the city of Dalang in South Kordofan State in late January, which strengthens the army's operational position on all fronts.
