Ethiopia Inaugurates Major Wind Farm, Eyes Regional Power Hub Role: Prime Minister's Office

Abiy Ahmed opened the Aysha-II wind power project, marking a strategic step in the country's push to become an energy exporter in East Africa, the PM's office announced.

Key details:

🟠The facility has an annual generation capacity of 467 gigawatt-hours.

🟠The project is a cornerstone of Ethiopia's energy security strategy and positions the country as a future regional power trading center, Abiy stated.
