A 10-year Climate-Resilient Livelihoods Empowerment Programme for displaced populations marks the government’s shift toward long-term, people-centered solutions that build resilience and uphold human dignity, according to Yomi Odunuga, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, in a statement.
According to Odunuga, the initiative will provide support through:
🟠 climate-smart agriculture;
🟠 renewable energy ventures;
🟠climate data jobs;

The programme is based on the premise that economic empowerment is a core component of climate adaptation, Odunuga added, citing President Tinubu.
