Ivorian President Forms New Government, Gives His Brother New Post
The new cabinet comprises 34 ministers, according to a decree signed by Alassane Ouattara.
Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé was reappointed to his position a few days earlier.
Key changes:
🟠The president’s younger brother, Téné Birahima Ouattara, kept his role as Defense Minister and was newly appointed Vice Prime Minister;
🟠The Foreign Affairs portfolio also changed hands, with Nialé Kaba replacing Leon Kacou Adom, who has left the government.
▪Most posts unchanged: Senior ministers retained their positions, including the heads of Interior and Security, Justice, and Budget.
